Things to do in New York

  • Statue of Liberty. You can't go to New York and not visit the Statue of Liberty. A short boat ride from New York Harbour will take you to Liberty Island where you can view the 46,5m tall Lady Liberty. You can also walk up the staircase inside the statue (354 steps) all the way up to the crown from where you have a spectacular view over New York City.
  • Times Square. Situated between 40th and 53rd street, and 6th and 9th avenue, Times Square is where you go if you want to get a proper feel for what New York is all about. This bustling square is filled with Broadway theatres, cinemas, shops and electronic billboards.
  • Fifth Avenue. Fifth Avenue starts north of Washington Square and runs all the way north up to 143rd street in Harlem. This is known as the world's most expensive street because some of the most prestigious stores in the city are found on this road.
  • Brooklyn Bridge. This bridge connects Manhattan to Brooklyn and is considered one of the most magnificent landmarks in New York.
