Women’s Day not only welcomes in a day of relaxation but also one of great sentiment, as a day of reflection and hope from our countries legacy.

On the 9th of August in 1956, 20, 000 women marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to petition against the ‘pass laws’ When South Africa became a democracy in 1994, this same day has since been chosen to celebrate women as a national South African holiday.
While ladies choose this day to take a break from their busy work and home life schedules as they so deserve, it’s also important for us to stop and remember the invaluable role of all women in society, of their resilience and strength as individuals and as one powerful tribe when united.

From high-powered female executives who juggle big portfolios and bedtime stories, to teachers, doctors, nurses, civil servants being ever present around the clock. From female diplomats to public servants, amateur and professional athletes to social networking gurus, ladies are out there in full force, raising the bar and standards for professionalism in our work force. To the stay home moms and grannies, raising our next generation of change-makers, we see you, we salute you all, and thank you for the amazing contributions you bring about for our nation.

In the spirit of being acknowledged, why not indulge in a Women’s Day Spa vacation of pampering. Spa vacations for women are the ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation tool. It’s the perfect way for friends, or moms and daughters to reconnect with one another other, to chat and catch up without interruption, all while having your feet massaged or getting a manicure.
