Gastronomic pleasures await you on your South African Airways flight. Our team of celebrity chefs, Chef Reuben Riffel and Chef Benny Masekwameng, have creatively imagined and consistently executed a menu which competes with those of top restaurants.
Chef Reuben started out at the award-winning Monneaux Restaurant in Franschoek where he quickly moved up the ranks from assistant Sous Chef to Executive Chef. Since then he has opened the highly successful Bruno’s Brasserie in Cambridge, England and earned multiple awards and titles. Chef Benny Masekwameng started out cooking at an early age in his mom’s business but has worked his way up to become not only the Executive Chef at Tsogo Sun but also a Masterchef SA judge. His passion for food is evident in every dish he prepares.
You’ll notice the love and expertise that they both put into their cuisine, which is matched only by our signature wines and premium beverages. The entire offering is highly considered from speciality dishes to perfectly sized portions. Appetizing starters, sumptuous main courses, as well as both savoury and sweet finales ensure a satisfying meal. With our impeccable menu, it’s not surprising that we were the first airline to be granted honorary membership to the South African Chefs' Association.
