Our Lounges
To ensure a seamless experience we invite our travellers to come and relax in our world-class lounges. Whether you need some time to catch up on some work or simply want to relax away from the crowds, we offer you a range of lounges across the globe. We also have the privilege of sharing lounges with our Star Alliance partners at airports where we do not have SAA owned lounges.
Here is a taste of what is on offer.
SAA Lounges
We offer our premium travellers the opportunity to sit back and relax in our lounges in the major cities of South Africa namely, Johannesburg (O.R Tambo International Airport), and Cape Town, (Cape Town International Airport) as well as one lounge in Africa based in Harare.
In our hub, O.R Tambo International Airport, we have 2 lounges to choose from for our international travellers. Both lounges offer a tranquil and comfortable escape from the hustle of the airport. And if you need to freshen up after a long flight into South Africa, we welcome you to use our Arrivals Lounge.
For travel within South Africa we have the VIA Lounge which is situated in the domestic Terminal B.

Our Platinum Lounge offers our travellers peerless service, privacy, comfort in an elegant atmosphere designed to help you relax before your flight.
It is regrettable that due to Covid-19 restrictions the shower facilities are closed and limited lounge access. Operating hours are in accordance with our flight schedule and may change at any time.

Sit back and let us welcome you to our flagship Platinum Lounge. We offer you a selection of specially sourced wines to complement an à la carte menu designed to suit every palate. You are also welcome to choose from a selection of fine cheeses, tasty desserts and handmade chocolates.
Platinum Lounge’s ergonomic workstations offer a range of business tools at your disposal. Use one of our private meeting rooms to catch up with colleagues before flying.
Pamper yourself in one of our spacious shower rooms, each equipped with luxurious bath products and fluffy towels including hair and shaving products.

Premium Lounge
Inside our Premium Lounge you will find a world of amenities designed to help you recharge, relax or catch up with work.

You can choose a frothy cappuccino or a simple cup of single source coffee to accompany decadent pastries, or sandwiches and canapés.
Our Premium Lounge offers you work space providing you with connectivity and web access to make it easy to catch up on that last minute work.

Arrivals Lounge
SAA’s Arrivals Lounge at OR Tambo International Airport is the perfect place to wait for a connecting flight or freshen up before you leave the airport.
HOURS: Temporarily Closed
LOCATION: Directly after Customs Control on your left-hand side.
After a long flight there is no need to face the world harried. Our Arrivals Lounge offers refreshing showers, a clothes pressing service and an enclosed smoker’s lounge. Accessible to our premium travellers, it provides a sanctuary while you wait for onward travel.

The VIA Lounge at O.R Tambo International Airport Terminal B makes waiting for your flight an absolute dream. The lounge offers our travellers a world-class contemporary experience in a proudly South African design. Our VIA Lounge is designed to get your travel, whether for adventure or business, off to a good start.

Turn right after the security check point. Take the lift up to 3rd Floor and the lounge will be directly opposite you.
Service in the VIA Lounge is designed to not only make our adult travellers comfortable. There is a dedicated Junior Pilots kid’s area and views of the runway for awe-struck kids of all ages. For business travellers there is high speed internet access, fresh cuisine and comfortable seating.

We have the privilege of sharing lounges in airports where there is no SAA owned lounge.
These shared lounges include airport and carrier partners, including partners through our Star Alliance network.
Star Alliance lounges offer access to over 1,000 lounges worldwide, giving you a quiet and exclusive space to work or relax before your flight. Our guests are invited to unwind and savour our selection of carefully prepared fresh food and full bar service while you keep tabs on the latest news on large plasma screen TVs. Catch up on that last bit of business in our fully equipped Business Centres or simply freshen up with a shower and relax.
