Things to do in Entebbe
- Entebbe Botanic Gardens. Situated on the northern shores of Lake Victoria, the Entebbe Botanic Gardens cover a 35 ha area which contains 2 500 plant species of the tropical and subtropical variety. It's divided into different zones and one of them is the rainforest area that formed the backdrop of the Tarzan films of the 1940’s. Here you'll also see loads of bird species and monkeys. Remember to hire a guide as it'll ensure that you get the most out of your visit.
- Sesse Islands. This island is a three hour ferry ride from Entebbe. On board food and drinks are available and from the moment that you arrive you'll know that it was worth the trip.
