Things to do in George
- Redberry Farm. If you love strawberries, you'll love Redberry Farm. Here you can pick your own strawberries, and as many as you like, while viewing the majestic Outeniqua Mountains. There is also a tea garden where you can enjoy a drink or two and chances are that there will be some great live entertainment.
- Outeniqua Farmer's Market. If you're in George on a Saturday, be sure to visit this Farmer's Market. 80 food and craft stalls that put a strong focus on organic foods and handmade goods. Foodies definitely can't afford to miss this one.
- Henry White’s at Fancourt. If you’re looking for an elegant dining experience with delicious food that’s immaculately plated - this is the place. Henry White’s at Fancourt is situated at the world-renowned Fancourt Golf Estate and dishes served here include Fresh Knysna oysters, steak tartare, crayfish thermidor and salmon crépinett. And we haven’t even gotten to the desserts yet.
- Cradock Peak Trail. This 20km climb is not for the faint hearted. The trail is situated in the Outeniqua Nature Reserve and will take you at least seven hours to complete. This is an endurance test, if ever there was one, and if you’re up for a challenge - then go for it. The view from the top is spectacular.
