Things to do in Lilongwe
- Lilongwe Wildlife Centre. Lilongwe Wildlife Centre is home to orphaned, injured and rescued wild animals and plays an active role in Malawian conservation. You will find a one-eyed lion rescued from Romania, bush babies and a leopard to name but a few of the sanctuaries residents.
- Kamuzu Mausoleum. Dr Banda, Malawi's first president is laid to rest at the Kamuzu Mausoleum in Heroes Acre. The mausoleum also boasts a library and research centre.
- Parliament Building. Visit Capitol Hill to see the building in which Malawi's movers and shakers make their decisions.
