London is a city that is both modern and steeped in history. Historical landmarks can be found everywhere and four of these, namely the Tower of London, the Palace of Westminster, St Margret’s Church and the historic settlement of Greenwich are World Heritage Sites. On the other hand, London is also considered one of the best shopping and party destinations in the world. It is this contrast that makes London a premier holiday destination.

Things to do in London
- Big Ben. Arguably London's most famous landmark. We've all seen the pictures of this famous bell tower and you can get permission to climb to the top and stand in the belfry while the bell is being rung.
- Buckingham Palace. The official residence of the Queen. Be sure to see ‘the changing of the guard’ ceremony, which is spectacular.
- Nightlife and shopping. Upmarket shopping can be done in Oxford Street and flee market style shopping in Notting Hill - and then there are all the in-betweens. You can party it up at the Ministry of Sound Superclub or enjoy live music at KOKO. The list is endless.
