Things to do in Munich

  • Theresienwiese. This is the huge grassy park that usually hosts the city's famous Oktoberfest. But even if you aren't in Munich towards the end of September it is still worth a visit. There are loads of restaurants and bars that'll give you an inkling of what this place is like during the Oktoberfest.
  • HintQuest. This is the one attraction that both locals and tourists are raving about. Essentially you and your friends or family get locked into a mysterious room and you get 60 minutes to free yourself by solving riddles and puzzles. This game is language independent and team work is of the utmost importance. Tons of fun for those who like mystery games.
  • Marienplatz. This is the largest public square in Munich and the centre of social activity in the city. This has been the case throughout Munich's history. The city hall dominates the square and its clock tower houses the famous Glockenspiel which can be heard chiming at 11am and 5pm.
