Things to do in Nelspruit
- Lowveld Botanical Garden. What makes this botanical garden so unique are the two rivers running through it. The Crocodile River enters it with a rush and gushes through a narrow, pot-holed solid rock gorge. Its counterpart, the Nels River, cascades down a waterfall from the west. The two then merge in a pool area. The plant life you'll find here is of the tropical African rainforest variety, common in Central and West Africa.
- Adventure Skydives. How does a tandem skydive from 10 000 feet sound? Well, this the best place to do it.
- Chimpanzee Eden. The only chimpanzee sanctuary in South Africa. Spend a day with these entertaining primates in this 1000 hectare sanctuary that was built by the world renowned Jane Goodall Institute. There is also plenty of other wildlife to be seen.
- The Food Fundi. Who says fast food can’t be of gourmet quality? Visit this bistro which is home to some of the best trained chefs in the country and be prepared for the taste experience of a lifetime. Almost all food served here is sourced from local farms and stopping by for quick bite or a leisurely eating session are both equally rewarding.
