SAA and Mango Conclude a Code Share Agreement on the Coastal Route between Cape Town and Durban
South African Airways (SAA) and its low cost subsidiary Mango, today announced the conclusion of a code share agreement on the coastal route between Cape Town and Durban.
This code share agreement will enable SAA to withdraw its aircraft from the Durban-Cape Town route effective from 01 November 2010, and still continue servicing this market with SAA customers flying on the Mango aircraft.
“The opportunity to code share with SAA’s low cost subsidiary Mango will ensure a continued presence of SAA and Mango on the coastal route. SAA’s value proposition on this route remains intact with the only variation being the use of Mango’s aircraft,” said SAA’s CEO Ms Siza Mzimela.
In addition, the SAA Voyager Programme, the SAA Corporate Loyalty Programme and all other exciting SAA value added benefits will not be compromised or diminished by the code share agreement with Mango. The Voyager programme remains active allowing for accumulation of Voyager miles on the Durban – Cape Town coastal route including flight bookings on this route using Voyager miles.
SAA passengers will receive a meal voucher when travelling on the code share flight that adequately provides for a meal and drink onboard the aircraft.
