Linking India to Africa to South America
Mumbai is a popular destination and home to a melting pot of cultures from across the world. From cuisine to attire, languages to festivals, the city brings out the colourful aspects of its people. South African Airways (SAA) is proud to provide the shortest and best route between South America and India. A normal flight on any other airline from India would take around 30 hours to get to South America – but not with South African Airways.
SAA operates four flights a week from Mumbai to Johannesburg and daily flights from Johannesburg to São Paulo. SAA also serves another destination in South America with three flights a week to Buenos Aires, providing the shortest travel time between India and Argentina. The flying time from Mumbai to Buenos Aires is 22 hours and 30 minutes – SAA is the only carrier with this short a flying time.
Aircraft on route
The Mumbai route is operated by Airbus 340-200 aircraft, with luxurious lie-flat bed seats in Business Class, judged by Skytrax for two years in a row as the “Best Lie-Flat Product”. Warm South African hospitality ensures that customers are well taken care of on this award-winning airline for on-board service: Best First Class lounge, Best Airline in Africa – Economy Class Service and Best Airline – Africa. Travellers in Business Class enjoy 180° fully flat bed seats, and in Economy Class they enjoy the most legroom compared with our competitors.

New York City's famously large department store, Macy's, puts on a spectacular Fourth of July display with 14,000 aerial shells which explode from barges positioned all along the east side of the island of Manhattan. The fireworks display is synchronized and choreographed to a musical score.
Showering the East River with a delicious fusion of colours, Macy's celebration is without a doubt the biggest and best party in the city on this hugely popular national holiday. In fact, some cite it as the best fireworks' display in the country.
