ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 |

The 10th ICC Cricket World Cup happening this year will, for the first time in the sport's history, be hosted by three South Asian Test cricket playing countries: India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Current cup holders Australia will be hoping to extend their record of consecutive wins to 4, having last beaten Sri Lanka in the 2007 final.
The Proteas on the other hand will be hoping to advance to the finals, having made the semis on 3 separate occasions: 1992, 1999 and 2007.

Rio Carnival |
 |
The Rio Carnival is the mother of all parades, an extravaganza that dates back to 1723.
It promises to live up to its legacy in 2011, when the streets of Rio will come alive in a blaze of colour, song and dance.
The Sambadrome, where the display will be, will host all kinds of floats and festivities as rival schools show-off their outfits & bands before awed onlookers.
SAA promises to fly you to Rio porta-bandeira style, and ensure that you don't miss the two major days that define this occasion: namely Carnival Sunday and the Champions Parade. |

2011 marks the 34th anniversary for the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour, an event which attracts over 35000 cyclists from around the globe.

Baggage allowance increase
Fly SAA and take more with you! The baggage allowance in South African Airways economy class has been increased from 20kg to 23kg.
This does, however, not apply to connecting flights or other airlines. |
