ITINERARY:
DAY 01, MONDAY: ABERDARES
Met on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and transferred to the Somak Safari Lounge to freshen-up. Later drive north through the rich farming areas arriving at the Outspan Hotel in time for lunch (180 kms). After lunch an opportunity to relax or an afternoon nature walk with the resident naturalist (weather permitting). Dinner and overnight at Outspan Hotel.
DAY 02, TUESDAY: SAMBURU
After breakfast drive north and across the Equator to the semi-arid and rugged landscape of Samburu area (200 kms). After lunch proceed on a late afternoon game-drive. Dinner and overnight at the Ashnil Samburu Camp or similar.
DAY 03, WEDNESDAY: SAMBURU
Early morning and late afternoon game-drives enable you to see wildlife unique to this arid yet beautiful part of Kenya. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at the Ashnil Samburu Camp or similar.
DAY 04, THURSDAY: MOUNT KENYA
Drive to Mountain Lodge on the slopes of Mount Kenya in time for lunch (240 km - approximately 4 hours). Spend the afternoon viewing game from the lodge, or join a nature walk led by a local guide (payable locally and weather permitting). Overnight: Serena Mountain Lodge.
DAY 05, FRIDAY: LAKE NAKURU / LAKE NAIVASHA
Early in the morning transfer to Outspan Hotel for breakfast. After collecting left luggage drive into the Great Rift Valley and continue to Lake Nakuru National Park for lunch and afternoon game drive. (180 kms). Drive to Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or similar for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 06, SATURDAY: MASAI MARA
After an early breakfast drive to the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch at the lodge (315 kms). Enjoy a late afternoon game-drive in one of the world's finest game reserves with included visit to a local Masai village. Dinner and overnight at the Ashnil Mara Camp or similar.
DAY 07, SUNDAY: MASAI MARA
An early morning balloon safari over the Mara followed by a bubbly bush breakfast (optional extra) or take an early morning game-drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. Rest of the morning at leisure at the lodge. After lunch proceed on a late afternoon game-drive. Dinner and overnight at the Ashnil Mara Camp or similar.
DAY 08, MONDAY: DEPART
After breakfast return to Nairobi (300 kms) and proceed with your chosen extension or return home.
