South African Airways regularly recruits qualified pilots for appointment as First Officers
In order to qualify, applicants must be:
- South African citizens
- Matriculated, with a pass in English as well as either Mathematics or Physical Science
- In possession of a valid SA Commercial Pilot’s License or higher with a multi engine instrument rating
- A valid Class 1 medical
- All applicants should have at least 1500 flying hours’ experience which should include at least 200 hours experience on multi-engine aircraft.

As a First Officer you will be required to be part of a Flight Deck Crew that provides world – class safety standards and efficiency in the transportation of passengers and cargo whilst exceeding our customer expectations.
