Now, the citizens of the Republic of South Africa and other foreign nationals that reside in the Republic of South Africa who are travelling to Abu Dhabi on Etihad Airways can apply for visa at the UAE Visa Processing Centre in South Africa. All Visa applications are considered on individual merit, and the Immigration Department has the right to seek additional information at any stage of processing. The fact that an application for a visa has been received at the UAE Visa Application Centre does not guarantee that the visa will be issued. UAE Immigration reserves the right to refuse a visa without assigning any reason whatsoever. South African nationals should ensure that they hold a valid visa for the UAE before they travel to the UAE. Visas cannot be issued on arrival at any of the entry points in the UAE.
